New York Giants defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul is able to get a hand on Philadelphia Eagles kicker Caleb Sturgis’ field goal attempt to block it.

The New York Giants completely dominated their NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles in the first half of their Week 9 game at MetLife Stadium. New York took a commanding 21-10 lead over the Eagles into halftime.

One of the big plays that the Giants had in the first half was Jason Pierre-Paul’s great special teams move to block Caleb Strugis’ field-goal attempt.

It did not matter if it was Pierre-Paul’s good hand or the one that’s missing a few digits, he got all of Sturgis’ kick for impressive blocked field goal. The Giants’ line completely overpowered the Eagles. Pierre-Paul was the one that blocked the kick, but so many Giants beat their man on that poorly executed play by the Eagles.

New York looks well-rested after the Giants’ Week 8 bye. Philadelphia lost a heartbreaker in Week 8 to the rival Dallas Cowboys in overtime on Sunday Night Football. Though the Eagles didn’t play a full fifth quarter, they seem a tad tired in this one. New York is taking full advantage of their arch rival so far.

The winner of this game will emerge as one of the best six teams in the NFC, primed for playoff positioning at the halfway point. The NFC East is likely to get a Wild Card team into the NFC Playoffs this year, especially if the division-leading Cowboys continue to extend their lead atop the NFC East.

Many have overlooked the Giants this year, but they’ve played great ball in their last two games. Maybe this is the team that will get an NFC Wild Card spot out of the NFC East?
