Houston is playing the last game of a five-game road trip against San Antonio. The Rockets have split the four previous games on their road trip with wins over the New York Knicks and the Washington Wizards, but losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks. The Rockets have also beaten the dreadful Mavericks twice.

San Antonio started its season out on a four-game win streak, but have lost two of its last three games. The Spurs last played on Monday night, falling to the Los Angeles Clippers at home, 116-92. Maybe the Spurs won’t have the elite homecourt advantage they’ve had these last couple of seasons?

Laying eight points at home to a division rival seems steep, but the Spurs look to be the slightly better team over the Rockets in the early part of the season. Houston may be above .500, but the Rockets haven’t beaten anybody with a winning record. Perhaps Las Vegas is taking that into account with point spread being so heavily in San Antonio’s favor? San Antonio should roll in this one.
