The undefeated Washington Huskies honor the troops with their new uniforms.

On Saturday night, be sure to tune in to FOX at 8:00 P.M. The Washington Huskies face Pac-12 rival USC in a battle of ranked teams.

The Trojans returned to the national rankings this week for the first time since Week 1. Ranked 20th in the preseason poll, USC lost to Alabama by 48 to start the season. They have won five straight games since losing to Utah in Week 4.

Freshman quarterback Sam Darnold is 5-1 as the team’s starter, he replaced junior Max Browne after Week 3.

The Washington Huskies are undefeated in 2016 under head coach Chris Petersen. They currently hold the final spot for the College Football Playoff and have a chance to play for the national title. Washington hasn’t won a national championship since 1990. The Huskies are led by Heisman candidate Jake Browning who has been responsible for 38 touchdowns this season (34 passing and 4 rushing).

Washington is currently 8.5 point favorites over USC.

The Saturday night match-up will take place the day after Veteran’s day. The Huskies released photos of the “Salute to Service” uniforms they will don Saturday night. The team dedicated a special webpage to the uniform release, complete with a large gallery of exciting photos.

The team worked with the Office of Student Veteran Life on the “Salute to Service” concept. Each player will wear a patch that features a different veteran’s name who is associated with the University of Washington.

Washington will also feature new helmets for the game. Instead of the purple “W” over a shiny gold helmet, the “Salute to Service” helmets will feature an American Flag “W” over a matte black finish.

Although the game will be aired on Fox Sports, ESPN’s College Gameday will do their broadcast from Washington’s campus. It will be only the second time in school history that the school will host the show.

Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, and Shannon Spake will be on the call for FOX.
