The first-place Houston Texans visit the last-place Jacksonville Jaguars. Check here where you can watch these teams square off.

After a week off, the Houston Texans return to the field this week. Bill O’Brien’s team seeks its first road win of the season when they visit the 2-6 Jacksonville Jaguars. The latter comes off a 19-14 loss at Kansas City, the team’s third consecutive setback.

Gus Bradley’s club has been a major disappointment to date. The majority of the issues have been on the offensive side of the football. There’s a lack of balance when it comes to the ground attack. That combined with the fact that the Jaguars have committed 17 turnovers in eight games and it spells disaster.

Speaking of havoc, that’s been the story for the defending division champions when they have ventured away from home. The Texans have stunk up Foxborough (27-0), Minneapolis (31-13) and Denver (27-9) this season to the tune of a combined 85-22 score. And regardless of the venue, high-priced quarterback Brock Osweiler has turned over the football at least once in every game this year.

It’s hard to ignore the fact that while the Jacksonville defense has played well at times it has had its problems against the run. This looks like a job for workhorse running back Lamar Miller, who ranks second in the NFL with 637 yards on the ground. While Houston’s offense ranks 30th in the league in both total yards and passing yards per game, it is also currently 11th in the NFL when it comes to rushing yards per contest.

All told, the Jaguars’ defense should cause the mistaken-prone Osweiler and company a little concern. On the other hand, the Texans haven’t done much when it comes to takeaways this season (6). But outside linebackers Whitney Mercilus, John Simon and Jadeveon Clowney could make it another long afternoon for Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles.

Can Bradley’s team pull off the mini-surprise? Points figure to be hard to come by in this encounter.
