Who did Lee Corso select with his headgear pick on College GameDay for Saturday’s game between Washington and USC?

On Saturday, Lee Corso and the College GameDay crew are in Seattle, WA for a Pac-12 matchup between the Washington Huskies and USC Trojans. This game has plenty of implications for both teams as they step into Husky Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Washington moved up to No. 4 in the College Football Playoff ranking after Texas A&M lost to Mississippi State last week. This spot means that if the season were to end today, they would be in the College Football Playoff. However, there are still a handful of games to complete before getting there, including Saturday’s game against USC. Arizona State and the in-state rival Washington State are all that’s left on the schedule.

As for USC, they had a miserable start to the season. They got crushed by Alabama, Stanford, and Utah in three of the first four weeks and suddenly had a bleak season on their hands. However, they have since rattled off five consecutive wins to get to 6-3 and look like a different team. They have been led by quarterback Sam Darnold, who looks like an NFL signal caller in the making,

As of Saturday morning, Washington remained an eight-point favorite over the Trojans. Would this make Corso select the Huskies for the headgear pick?

If USC can pull off the upset, it should move them into the top 15 of the playoff rankings. A Washington win should keep them comfortably inside the top four. With the three teams above them all in action on Saturday as well, there’s even a chance of them moving up to solidify their spot in the College Football Playoff ranking.
