Here’s how you can watch Saturday afternoon’s Wisconsin vs Illinois game from Madison online.

I’ll admit, I didn’t expect much from the Wisconsin Badgers this season, but they have proven me very wrong. Ever since that opening week victory over the LSU Tigers, Wisconsin has earned my respect and it has nearly taken down a handful of top-10 teams this year.

In fact, the Badgers beat then-No. 8 Michigan State in East Lansing just a few weeks after taking down then-No. 5 LSU. After that, they narrowly lost to Michigan, by just a touchdown, on the road. Following that, they lost to Ohio State in overtime and then they defeated No. 7 Nebraska.

The defense has been the strength of this team as the offense, led by freshman quarterback Alex Hornibrook, could use some serious work. Corey Clement also needs to step up in the run game.

It’s been a long season for first-year head coach Lovie Smith who was hoping to translate some of his success in the NFL to the collegiate level. This is just a growing year, though, and his Fighting Illini are coming off a big home win against Michigan State and looking to gain momentum.

Wes Lunt might be out yet again which would mean Jeff George Jr. would get another start. He hasn’t had the best numbers as he completes less than 50 percent of his passes, but he doesn’t turn the ball over much and he is getting better week by week.
