Baylor Bears starting quarterback Seth Russell rode in on a golf cart to be a part of Baylor senior day after wrecking his leg last week vs. Oklahoma.

The Baylor Bears were clobbered by the Oklahoma Sooners last week, 45-24. This loss to the Sooners ended the Bears Big 12 Championship hopes for good in 2016. The Bears also lost their starting quarterback Seth Russell for the season to a gruesome leg injury.

Saturday was senior day in Waco for the Bears football team. Russell was not going to miss it for the world, despite playing his last game as a collegiate. Here he is riding in style on a golf cart to be there for Baylor senior day at McLane Stadium.

Baylor has lost three straight games and has completely fallen out of the College Football Playoff picture in recent weeks. The Bears have lost three consecutive games to the Texas Longhorns, the TCU Horned Frogs, and the Sooners.

Saturday is Baylor’s last regular season game at home. The Bears are hosting the Kansas State Wildcats. Baylor still has two more Big 12 games on the road against the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the West Virginia Mountaineers.

While Baylor has stumbled in the second half of the season, the Bears did win their first six games of the year to reach bowl eligibility. With an offseason scandal wrecking their football program and the season-ending loss to Russell, Baylor may not win a game the rest of 2016.

It was really cool to see Russell make his way to McLane Stadium one last time. He had another season-ending injury in 2015 where he essentially broke his neck. For as much flak as Baylor gets nationally for the Art Briles scandal, Russell played his heart out for Baylor. He has earned the right to drive a golf cart in McLane Stadium and be praised by the Baylor faithful.
