The Detroit Lions are looking for their sixth win of the 2016 season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have been a terrible disappointment.

Detroit has been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season. Most believed the Lions would finish the season with five or six wins and potentially in last place of the NFC North. Instead, the Lions already have five wins and with the woeful Jaguars coming into town, the sixth might be on the way by weekend’s end.

Detroit has been able to overcome the retirement of Calvin Johnson by relying on Matthew Stafford, who is in the MVP race. Stafford has continued to play some of the best football around, but is doing so with Golden Tate and Marvin Jones instead of Megatron.

On the other sideline, nothing has gone right for Jacksonville. The Jaguars were supposed to challenge in the mediocre AFC South, but things have gone downhill. The season began at 0-3 and following a couple of wins, Gus Bradley’s team has lost four straight. At this point, it’s a slow climb until the end of the season.

The Lions should be able to handle this opponent at home, keeping them in a playoff spot at least for another week.

Pick: Detroit 31, Jacksonville 13
