The Washington Redskins will travel to Dallas on Thanksgiving Day to take on the first place Cowboys in an NFC East matchup.

For those who have been living under a rock, the Thanksgiving Day matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins will be a coming out party for Dallas’ star rookies. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been unbelievable under center for the Cowboys, as the rookie has made fans forget about Tony Romo. Prescott was handed the starting job after Romo broke his back in the preseason, and held onto it when Romo returned a week ago.

Standing behind Prescott is arguably the best running back in football, as first round draft selection Ezekiel Elliott has run all over the NFL this season. Zeke currently leads the league in rushing yards, and has flourished in his first season running behind the best offensive line in football. He is going to get the ball early and often on Thursday, and like millions of people around the country, he is going to feast.

The Redskins are no slouches themselves, as they have lost only one game in the last nine weeks. Kirk Cousins continues to make his play for a long-term contract, as he has followed up his breakout season in 2015 with another solid campaign. The Skins are fresh off a drubbing of perennial NFC favorite Green Bay, and will be looking to put an end to  the Cowboys reign this season.

Line: Dallas (-7)

There should be plenty of points to go around in this one, as both offenses are playing at a high level as of late. The Redskins will be looking to stay alive in the NFC East, as a loss to the Cowboys would most certainly end their hopes of repeating as division champs. Prescott and the boys have been the hottest team in football since Week 1, and the question has to be how long can they keep this up.

It is unheard of for two rookies to be so dominant, but Prescott and Elliott could both make a case for NFL MVP so far this season. The Redskins do not play much defense, instead relying on their offense to bail them out from time to time. The Cowboys are going to exploit that on Thanksgiving Day, and the Skins won’t be able to match them point for point.
