Okay, the stretch run has not gone according to plan. After a barrage of success in the middle of the 2016 college football season, we picked a rough time for an ugly stretch, but in taking the year-long sample into account, things could be much worse. In the final (full) week of the season, though, we are ready to bring you winners, but before that transpires, here is a check-up on where we stand currently.

  • Last Week: 4-6
  • Season: 61-57-1

Let us bask in the glory that is a jam-packed “rivalry week” slate and best of luck to us all.

Texas A&M (+6.5) over LSU

I continue to believe LSU is wildly overrated by Las Vegas and this line reflects that. Why in the world would the Tigers be laying nearly a touchdown on the road in one of the most raucous atmospheres in college football? Even if you think LSU wins outright (not a given), this isn’t an explosive offensive team, and with nearly a touchdown of cushion, I will gladly take the non-public side with a home underdog in Texas A&M.

North Carolina State (+11.5) over North Carolina

Rivalry week is here, and we are going deep on a few underdogs. The first of which is NC State, who should be able to keep this close. I’m a fan of NC State’s offense in a vacuum, and I’d have this line a point or two shorter than it actually is. The extra juice swings me to the underdog, along with the fact that two-thirds of the action is on North Carolina. Fade them.
