This past Saturday we were treated to undoubtedly the biggest game of the college football season to this point, and when all was said and done, we were not left disappointed. The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Michigan Wolverines, 30-27 in overtime, in this year’s rendition of “The Game.”
Of course, with so much talent on the field on both sides, there were a lot of memorable highlights, and you’ve probably seen them over and over since Saturday. By now, there might be a different way that you want to relive the festivities from the Big Ten on Saturday.
Well, now you can. Thanks to some talented YouTube user, you can revisit what took place on Saturday in Columbus, Ohio in Tecmo Bowl form.
Now if there are some of you out there over the age of 30 –like myself– then this is one of the coolest things ever created. Before the days of Madden, Tecmo Bowl was the best way to get our video game football fix, so it’s pretty awesome to see it be used like this to recreate something that took place in the present time.

Really, if any game this season deserved this kind of fun treatment, it was Michigan vs. Ohio State. These are two of the best teams in the country, and they battled it out in the heavyweight fight that we all expected. Now, with the win, Ohio State is in position to make their way back to the College Football Playoff with one loss, even though they won’t win their conference.
Whether or not the Buckeyes will win a spot in the coveted playoff field remains to be seen, but we all win for this awesome Tecmo Bowl highlight video.
