The Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers had a game last night. They did not play it due to court moisture. I can understand that. Some things are better moist. Other things, like basketball courts, are not. Other people are welcome to have their own opinions, and Matt Barnes is a person. Unfortunately, he’s often reticent to voice his thoughts.

Luckily, he has a camera and a face and yesterday he put them to use. I’ll prove it:

He’s having fun, and he shared his fun with us. How fun of him!

Unfuntunately, people don’t always agree. Here is a person less infuntuated with Matthew’s video.

I will give him this: Matt Barnes spelled “wet” with six t’s. I’ve consulted multiple dictionaries and the majority agree it is only spelled with one. If you’re looking for a prescriptive spelling role model, maybe look beyond Barnes.

However, if you’re looking to him for any sort of guidance, perhaps that’s not the best idea. Barnes does have wisdom to impart, but maybe like… no.

Regardless, that’s a broad statement that Twitter Commentator #12,287 had to offer. I’d like to counter it.

#1 — Look how happy Boogie is. In the beginning of that video.

I want to be that happy. I want everyone to be that happy.

#2 — Despite being related to a city that isn’t Detroit and is therefore bad, Philly Cheesesteaks are delicious. People should have them.

#3 — Matt Barnes, in the middle of his missive, said hello to someone off camera. He’s gracious, and he thinks people deserve attention. That’s a quality person trait.

#4 — He swore. Some people think bad language is bad but bad language is actually good.

#5 — He appeared to arrive to the bus on time. Punctuality is important.

All in all, this is a random 55 second video taken by a bored man. There’s not a ton of merit, but there is a ton of fun. Trust me. I counted every pound.
