Captain America is back in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (Video)

A fan favorite character, Captain America, is set to return in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. It was revealed in an extended gameplay trailer for the upcoming fighting game.

It’s been a great week for gaming fans as a whole. First, we had The Game Awards, which revealed a ton of new footage for games we’re very excited about. Then we had the PlayStation Experience, which also revealed a ton of news, including Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.

The animated cinematic for the game was a great way to reveal the new game. We saw some fan favorite characters, such as Iron Man and Ryu. We also saw a brand-new character joining the roster, that being Captain Marvel.

Following the reveal of the new game with the cinematic trailer, we were promised extensive gameplay footage. It’s safe to say that they delivered.

The first gameplay trailer shows the same characters we saw in the cinematic trailer, those being Iron Man, Mega Man, Ryu and Captain Marvel. The trailer is action-packed, which is what we expect from this series.

But, Marvel released another gameplay trailer. It features the same characters, but there’s two more characters. Before we get into, just see for yourself:

The two characters are Captain America and Morrigan. The one who stands out is obviously Captain America. Arguably the most popular Marvel superhero in the world today, it’s no surprise that he’s making a return to the roster.

There’s also Morrigan, who isn’t the most well-known character. Diehard fans will know who she is, but the casual audience won’t. To make a long story short, she’s a playable character in the fighting game series, Darkstalkers.

Both characters have unique skill-sets and it’s going to be awesome to add them to our team once again.

A release date is still unknown, but it’ll be releasing sometime in 2017.
