Week 13 of the NFL season was a memorable one for Tom Brady, who passed Peyton Manning as the all-time winningest QB in NFL history.

It seems like yesterday that Drew Bledsoe was getting crushed near the sideline against the New York Jets, and a skinny kid from Michigan had to relieve him. Well, that kid has gone on to win the most games by any QB in the history of the league, and is a sure-fire Hall of Famer.

Tom Brady easily disposed of the Los Angles Rams on Sunday for his 201st win as an NFL quarterback, passing Peyton Manning for the wins record.

The Sunday Night Football matchup featured a rematch of last year’s NFC Divisional Game, as the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks did battle at Centurylink Field. This was a lopsided affair, as the Seahawks throttled Cam Newton and company, 40-7. While winning the game, the Seahawks lost a huge part of their defense, as safety Earl Thomas fractured a bone in his lower leg and is now out indefinitely.

Speaking of Cam Newton, the star quarterback of the Panthers did not play the first possession for the team on Sunday night, as he was forced to the bench due to a “dress-code violation.” The move proved to be costly, as backup Derek Anderson threw an interception on his only throw of the possession. The play would be a microcosm for the game, as the Panthers likely saw their playoff chances go out the window with the loss.

One team that will not struggle to make the playoffs is the Oakland Raiders, who got another strong second half effort in their win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Down 24-9 in the third quarter, the Raiders scored 29 unanswered points, easily beating the Bills by the score of 38-24. Quarterback Derek Carr threw two touchdowns in the second half as the Raiders moved their record to 10-2 on the season.

Staying in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs got a huge game out of Eric Berry on Sunday, as he helped his team to a big victory on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. Berry not only registered a pick-six in the game, but his pick-two on the Falcons two-point try proved to be the difference. The win sets up a huge matchup with the Oakland Raiders on Thursday Night Football this week.

Finally, another chapter was written in the Colin Kaepernick saga on Sunday. In a year where he has gotten the most publicity of his career, Kaepernick is playing the worst football of his career. The San Francisco 49ers benched their starter during the team’s embarassing loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, and for Kaepernick, it could spell the end of his tenure with the 49ers. For the game, Kap was 1-for-5 passing with only four yards.
