A high school student just so happened to have the same name as new Baylor coach Matt Rhule, which means his mentions are resting in peace.

When Baylor hired Matt Rhule, the reaction on Twitter was pretty divided. Some praised the move, saying that he’s a great coach who will change the Baylor culture. Others condemned him for going to a school with such a dark past. One person who received both ends of the spectrum was Twitter user @mattrhule. And as you could probably guess, he’s not really Baylor’s head coach:

Mistakes like this are commonplace, and ones that people who have the same name as celebrities must hate. For example, when UFC fighter Jon Jones goes and does something stupid, @JonJones gets lit up on Twitter. But given that Baylor fans are the worst, and everybody outside of Waco, Texas hates them, Matt Rhule probably got the worst treatment.

Rhule is a great coach, though, who accomplished a lot at Temple. Just this year, he won the AAC Championship Game against Navy to preserve Western Michigan’s dream of competing in the Cotton Bowl. While Art Briles was a hell of a football coach, his off-the-field scandals couldn’t be ignored, which is why they had to let him go. And after a 6-0 start, Jim Grobe’s team bottomed out extremely quickly and finished .500.

Matt Rhule is expected to get Baylor back to the top of the Big 12. If he could turn around Temple’s fortunes, he should do the same for a high-profile school. He should also repair their recruiting woes — thanks to their sexual assault scandal, they have one commit for their 2017 class.

This isn’t the first run-in with a Twitter account that Baylor has had. After Briles got fired, he had to delete his account because his mentions were probably a dumpster fire. But whatever you think of Matt Rhule, please leave this poor high schooler alone unless he ends up committing to Baylor. Instead, direct your attentions to @CoachMattRhule.
