As we get into the middle of December, the NBA is starting to gather some momentum toward the Christmas Day marathon as teams start to figure out what they have and where they fit in the hierarchy of the playoff race. Since Sunday’s still belong to the NFL, the NBA has a huge ten-game schedule lined up for this Saturday night. After nine games last night, tonight will be a similarly deep slate of options, meaning there are lots of options to consider in today’s DraftKings daily picks.

The main competition on DraftKings tips off at 7:00 PM ET as the Magic host the Nuggets, the Pacers take on Portland, and the Wizards welcome in the Bucks. Another interesting Eastern Conference matchup gets started at 7:30 as the Cavs host the Hornets who would be the No. 3 seed if the playoffs started today. Three more games get in on the action at 8:00 as the Bulls host the Heat on NBATV while the Warriors visit Memphis and the Rockets and Mavericks meet for the third time this season. At 8:30, the Nets roll into San Antonio followed at 9:0 by the Kings in Salt Lake City to take on the Jazz. At 10:30 the NBATV double-header wraps up with the Pelicans and Clippers who meet for the second time this month in the final game of the day.

As you set your lineup, it’s important to keep in mind that the Hornets, Cavs, Mavs, Rockets, Pacers, Heat, Bucks, Magic, and Kings are all playing on the second night of back-to-back games while the Warriors and Pelicans will turn around and play another game on the road tomorrow.

With a solid pool of 20 teams, there are lots of ways you can assemble your DFS fantasy basketball team. My goal each day is to give you the information you need to build your own customized lineup to get you a win however you participate in DFS contests. In order to help you find what you need, I’ve separated my picks by position and price. You’ll find two slides per position–the first slide will feature the best high-salary options followed by some high-value options which cost less but still offer solid returns. Each slide contains at least two options with extras thrown in where possible.

I rank my picks for each contest using stars after each explanation to show the relative strength of the pick. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my personal lineup for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.
