New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. scorched the Dallas Cowboys defense on a 61-yard touchdown to take the lead late in the third quarter.

It was a cold one at MetLife Stadium for Sunday Night Football in Week 14. The New York Giants had their hands full when they had to face the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys. The wind was a major factor in this game, as neither Dak Prescott or Eli Manning could do much in the passing game.

Just when everybody on the East Coast was about to turn off the television and go to bed, Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. got us out of our seats. He took a decent middle of the field pass from Manning, turning it into six points on a 61-yard touchdown.

Once Beckham got into the second level of the Cowboys defense and made a sharp cut to his right, he was off to the races. Beckham found pay dirt to give the Giants a 9-7 late in the third quarter on the 11-1 Cowboys. The made Robbie Gould PAT would make it 10-7 Giants.

Dallas’ only loss on the season came in Week 1 at home to the same Giants. That was Prescott’s first start and people were still unsure that he was the future at the quarterback position for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys may have a dynamic rookie duo on offense in Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott, but Beckham proved on that play that he was the best player on the MetLife turf on Sunday Night Football. Beckham continues to make plays in an offense that has its issues in the running game. He was sensational on this big touchdown strike for the Giants.
