Here’s an updated list of the highlights and score updates for the Week 15 Monday Night Football showdown between the Carolina Panthers and Washington Redskins.

Monday Night Football features two playoff teams from last season with the Washington Redskins hosting the Carolina Panthers. While both won their respective division last year, it looks like both teams may miss the playoffs this year.

For Washington to make the playoffs, a win over the Panthers would help. Meanwhile, the Panthers are all but out of a postseason spot with a 5-8 record. The curse of the Super Bowl loser continues, as nothing has gone right for Carolina this season. A season after having an extremely prolific rushing attack, the Panthers rank 14th in rushing yards per game. This stems from quarterback Cam Newton and his recent reluctance to scramble.

Washington is led by quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has built on his strong 2015 season. He is due for a huge pay raise at some point, leading an offense which ranks second in passing yards per game.

Three Stars

1. Kirk Cousins: Cousins is going against a Panthers defense which is prone to giving up big plays. They rank 30th in most passing yards allowed, with opposing quarterbacks averaging just under 300 yards per game. Expect the Redskins to turn to Cousins early and often, as they have done throughout the season.

2. Josh Norman: Everybody knows the former Panthers corner has relished the chance to face his old team. Much like his former teammate Steve Smith Sr. in 2014, Norman could have a huge game against Carolina. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if he did.

3. Jordan Reed: Each week, a Redskins receiver (or tight end) has a huge game. It’s sort of a guessing game, as Reed, DeSean Jackson, Jamison Crowder, and Pierre Garcon all have over 600 receiving yards. This week seems like a week the tight end will dominate. Carolina has allowed the eighth most yards to tight ends in the NFL.
