Carrie Fisher remains in critical but stable condition and her family has started to arrive at the hospital, including her daughter and beloved dog Gary.

Carrie Fisher’s family is gathering at the hospital as she fights to recover after suffering a massive heart attack on a plane en route to Los Angles. Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd arrived at UCLA Medical Center along with her beloved French bulldog, Gary, who was with her on the flight.

TMZ, who was first to report the news of Fisher’s medical emergency, also reports that her dog Gary “was always by Carrie’s side and, according to witnesses, was also aboard the flight with Carrie when she suffered the massive heart attack.”

Lourd is Fisher’s daughter with talent agent Bryan Lourd. She was recently seen on the Today show talking about her role on Scream Queens, but she also shared the story of auditioning for a role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She told Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb that she wanted to earn a role on her own, away from her mother’s influence. She landed the part and was on set with everyone else, who had no idea of her famous lineage, Lourd is Fisher’s daughter and the granddaughter of Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds. It wasn’t until she was checking on her mother while she was ill one day that the word “Mom” slipped and everyone learned that she was Fisher’s daughter.

60-year old Fisher suffered the heart attack shortly before her plane was set to arrive in Los Angeles, which explains why the plane wasn’t rerouted due to the medical emergency. Upon landing, Fisher was rushed to UCLA Medical Center where her brother Todd eventually said Fisher was “stable” and in intensive care.

As soon as news broke of Fisher’s heart attack, Star Wars fans and costars took to Twitter to express their well wishes.
