Reports of memorials for Carrie Fisher are popping up all over, with a light saber tribute at Disneyland and a memorial at Hollywood’s Chinese Theater.

The outpouring of grief over the death of Carrie Fisher continues as plans for fan memorials and tributes are announced. One reported tribute will take place at Anaheim’s Downtown Disney District at Disneyland on Wednesday night while a huge memorial is planned at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theater IMAX Forecourt on Saturday, December 31.

Fans are gathering at 7pm on Wednesday night for a light saber vigil at the Downtown Disney District to celebrate the life of Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, who famously portrayed Princess Leia in the film franchise. So far the RSVP for the event lists over 100 people planning to attend, but given that this memorial is behind held in Disney’s shopping destination adjacent to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks, it’s very likely that the number of attendees will grow.

Another vigil is planned for this Saturday outside Hollywood’s famous Chinese Theater, known for celebrity hands imprinted into the cement outside. The well-known group LiningUp.Net is organizing the celebration of Fisher’s life and they’re calling it “a fan tribute to our beloved Carrie Fisher.”

LiningUp.Net is the group responsible for the vigil. If they sound familiar, it’s because they’re the same group that camps out for Star Wars movie premieres while raising money for different charities. They were lined up outside of the theater only a few weeks ago for the premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

There’s no question that there will be fan tributes and memorials for Carrie Fisher popping up all over the country and the world as Star Wars fans come together to celebrate the life of their beloved Princess Leia. Local chapters of the 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion will likely show up at both of these events to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher.
