Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another en route to an impressive win over Nebraska in the Music City Bowl.

The Tennessee Volunteers were out to make history in the Music City Bowl on Friday. With several key players playing in their final college game, the Volunteers put together a memorable performance against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

With Tommy Armstrong Jr. out for Nebraska, Ryker Fyfe would step in at quarterback. The first quarter was all about the defense for both teams. Neither side could get any points on the board and Derek Barnett was creating havoc for Fyfe.

Throughout the day, Barnett was constantly getting to the quarterback and made history late in the game, as he would break Reggie White’s school record for sacks and record his 33rd overall, as his teammates celebrated around him.

In the second, the game turned into an offensive explosion for both teams. Joshua Dobbs would score a couple of touchdowns and John Kelly would run for the first one of the day, as Tennessee got out to a 21-7 lead at the half.

In the second half, Dobbs kept rolling and piled up his third touchdown on the ground of the day. However, the Cornhuskers wouldn’t quit and Fyfe found Brandon Reilly for his second touchdown grab of the day. As the Cornhuskers cut the deficit to seven, Dobbs finally put this thing away through the air.

He launched a bomb to Josh Malone and the Volunteers would get all that they would need to hold onto the win in the Music City Bowl. It was a day for Tennessee’s star players and a win that everyone was proud of.
