After North Carolina defeated Clemson is a close one on Tuesday night, Brad Brownell had some words with Roy Williams

The Clemson Tigers welcomed in the North Carolina Tar Heels on Tuesday night, and this one was a thriller. When it was all said and done, Clemson gave the No. 14 team in the country all it could handle, but Roy Williams and the Heels came away with the 89-86 win in overtime.

However, it’s not the game that took place that everyone is talking about. No. it’s some fireworks that went off after the contest that has everyone buzzing.

As the game was coming to an end and it was time to shake hands, Clemson head coach Brad Brownell had some choice words for the legendary North Carolina head man in Williams.

Now that was interesting, to say the least. We know that Roy can sometimes rub some people the wrong way, but very rarely do we see something like this.

After the incident took place, many were wondering what prompted the confrontation between the two ACC coaches. Well, it appears as if Kennedy Meeks taunting the Clemson bench in the waning moments of the game was what ultimately set Brownell off to begin with.

If that’s the case, then you can certainly see where Brownell could be upset. But really, should that prompt Brownell to go after Williams in the manner in which he did? He probably just could have whispered something about it post game, but again, Brownell was coming off a pretty tough loss there.

The good news is that it seems the two came to somewhat of an understanding at the end there.
