The final season of Fox’s Bones begins Tuesday. Here’s how you can watch the season 12 premiere, “The Hope in the Horror,” live on TV and online.

The twelfth and final season of Fox‘s Bones gets underway on Tuesday night. Season 12 will consist of the last 12 episodes of the long-running procedural starring Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, beginning with the conclusion to the season 11 cliffhanger.

Season 12, episode 1 is called “The Hope in the Horror” and sees Dr. Temperance Brennan (Deschanel) still trapped by her ex-colleague turned criminal Zack Addy (returning guest star Eric Milligan).

It’s not a huge spoiler to say that her husband Seeley Booth (Boreanaz) and their friends find a way to rescue Brennan, but “The Hope in the Horror” isn’t just wrapping up last season — it’s also setting up the storylines for the show’s swan song. Fox has even gone so far as to subtitle all the episodes as “The Final Chapter.”

Here’s how Fox officially describes the final season premiere:

"The final chapter of bones picks up where last season’s cliffhanger left off – Brennan kidnapped by her former assistant, Zack Addy, as Booth and the rest of the lab desperately search for her. Brennan’s rescue is, however, just the beginning of their problems."
