Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger showed up to his press conference with a walking boot after defeating the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers did a fantastic job of dismantling the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Wild Card Round at home on Sunday. However, there might be some cause for concern for the Steelers in regards to Roethlisberger after the win.

As Roethlisberger showed up to his press conference after a big day, he was wearing a walking boot, according to Jeremy Fowler. He made sure to let reporters know that he was going to play against the Kansas City Chiefs next week despite wearing the boot.

For those that have followed the career of Roethlisberger, you know that playing hurt is one of his staples. The guy has dealt with plenty of injuries throughout his career and playing hurt has led to some of his best performances on the field.

However, being in a walking boot should raise some concern for his mobility next week. Kansas City has a defense that can bring pocket pressure from multiple avenues on any given play.

It makes it imperative that the Steelers’ offensive line continues to give Roethlisberger the time that he needs to find his targets down the field. With Justin Houston coming off the edge, he will have to be ready to get rid of the football quick should he not get the time to throw.

One should expect a heavy dose of Le’Veon Bell, perhaps more than usual, should Roethlisberger not be able to move like normal. The Steelers’ running back had a huge day on the ground and diced up the Dolphins’ defense at just about every turn. There’s always an injury to a star player that emerges in the playoffs and Roethlisberger once again is on the receiving end it appears.
