ESPN’s “Coaches Film Room” certainly got a few laughs watching the helpless Clemson Tigers offensive line trying to stop the Alabama Crimson Tide pass rush.

ESPN has several stations adding commentary of the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship Game between the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and the No. 3 Clemson Tigers. One of the more popular commentaries has to the the ESPN “Coaches Film Room”

Head coaches of Division I programs sit in a room and watch the national championship together. It’s always a good time. In Film Room this year are Boston College’s Steve Addazio, Syracuse’s Dino Babers, North Carolina State’s Dave Doeren, Colorado’s Mike McIntyre, Baylor’s Matt Rhule, and BYU’s Kalani Sitake.

The head coaches are usually serious business, but they took the time to take pleasure in Clemson’s misfortune on this bad attempt of stopping the Alabama pass rush.

The two that seemed to enjoy it the most were Addazio and Rhule, who are seen at the bottom right of the screen giving each other high-fives and handshakes after seeing Clemson get absolutely mauled by the vaunted Alabama front-seven.

These six coaches know that stopping a historically good Alabama pass rush just isn’t possible. An offensive line coach can try with the best protection schemes in his arsenal, but they’ve got almost no chance.

It’s really funny to see Rhule get fired up this much about the Clemson offensive line getting steamrolled. Keep in mind that he has yet to coach a game for the Baylor Bears. He will begin his first season in Waco this fall. Rhule won the AAC Championship over the Navy Midshipmen as the former head coach of the Temple Owls. He fortunately won’t face a Big 12 pass rush this formidable for a very long time.
