What did future NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant have to say about Tom Brady winning Super Bowl 51?

Kobe Bryant was around championship teams for most of his career in the NBA. He won five titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, the first three of which were back-to-back-to-back. The last two were back-to-back as well, so he knows a thing or two about winning when it matters.

Few athletes have earned five championships in professional sports. This includes legends like Bill Russell and Tim Duncan. However, on Sunday night, Tom Brady would join them by winning his fifth title with the New England Patriots. He did so by defeating the Atlanta Falcons, 34-28, in Super Bowl 51.

Afterward, Bryant took to Twitter to congratulate Brady, while also taking a shot at the DeflateGate controversy that placed a cloud over the Patriots for 18 months. He kept it short and sweet:

Indeed, those five rings can’t be deflated. The Patriots and Brady did everything they could to win that illustrious fifth championship at Super Bowl 51, overcoming a 25-point deficit. It had seemed like they had no chance of coming back, but poured on points in the fourth quarter and overwhelmed an exhausted Falcons defense.

The win also puts away DeflateGate for good. Brady has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 NFL season, only to come back and dominate the league. He threw 28 touchdowns and threw just two interceptions, making him look like he was 29 and not 39.

Months later, Brady would win his fifth title, shake hands with the man who desperately tried to keep DeflateGate alive, Roger Goodell, and won another Super Bowl MVP. Oh, and he gets to celebrate with Brazilian supermodel and wife, Gisele Bundchen. It’s not so bad being Tom Terrific, right?
