This spoiled Patriots fan has seen 10 championship parades in 15 years.

Boston sports fans have become quite spoiled in the 21st century. Since the start of the new millennium, the Patriots have won five titles, the Red Sox have won three, and the Celtics and Bruins have one a piece. This is the cause of a lot of jealousy around the sports world. Most fans haven’t lived to see more than a few. If you want to know why everyone hates Patriots fans, this kid sums it up.

There are 24 year old DC sports fans who have never witnessed a championship parade. Chicago Cubs fans have to wait well over 100 years for one (though they did get a bunch of Bulls parades in the 1990’s). Heck, before the New York Yankees won in 2009, there were 8-year old fans who didn’t know what a championship parade felt like. But everyone’s favorite city to hate has seen 10 parades in 15 years.

The Patriots have five titles (2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016). Meanwhile, the Red Sox won in 2004, 2007, and 2013. Even the lowly Celtics (2008) and Bruins (2011) have won championships recently. For kids like this, success is all they know.

Doing the math, this kid is probably lying. He probably didn’t go to the Patriots Super Bowl parade in 2001. If he did, he was probably in his mother’s womb or he was so young he can’t even remember it. To be fair to the kid, he has every right to be pumped about the Patriots fifth Super Bowl. It wasn’t easy, as New England trailed Atlanta by 25 points during the second half. The comeback was arguably the most memorable in NFL history. Seeing Tom Brady stick it to Roger Goodell by winning his fourth Super Bowl MVP had to be pretty awesome as well.
