Charles Oakley set the internet and NBA world ablaze when he was seen trying to fight Madison Square Garden Security, and being removed by multiple MSG security officers. It was later reported that, after being removed by security, Oakley was going to be arrested by NYPD for his role in the altercation.

Charles Oakley has been arrested by NYPD for his role in an altercation with MSG Security, after he reportedly tried to go speak with New York Knicks owner James Dolan. There have also been reports of him buying a ticket behind Dolan’s seat as a means to heckle the strongly disliked Knicks owner.

When Oakley was warned to stop he chose to continue and was then asked to leave. Obviously from this point on the situation escalated where it sadly led to Oakley’s arrest. Video has surfaced of what appears to be Oakley being arrested as he’s detained on the ground.

It’s hard to make out what exactly is being said, but Oakley appears to be trying to tell the officers detaining him to let him get up from the ground. It’s a short video without much other information, but if one thing is for sure, it’s that despite having Oakley on the ground they still need two to three officers just to detain him. That is a strong dude.

Charles Oakley might not be very well-liked by James Dolan and the Knicks, but he’s a hero to Knicks fans everywhere tonight. After all, who hasn’t wanted to punch James Dolan before?
