Kevin Owens turns on Chris Jericho, destroys him on WWE RAW (Video)

After Chris Jericho booked him into a title match against Goldberg last week, Kevin Owens turned on and attacked his ‘best friend’ on WWE RAW

Though the bulk of WWE RAW outside of the Women’s Championship main event wasn’t supposed to be all that eventful. However, one of the more intriguing segments being previewed was a Festival for Friendship in Las Vegas between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. This came one week after the latter cowered away from Goldberg and booked his “best friend” into a match at Fastlane for Owens’ Universal Championship.

Judging by how the Festival of Friendship went on WWE RAW, it’s safe to say that Kevin Owens was none too pleased with how last week turned out. You might even say that he was downright angry about it.

After Jericho revealed a number of gifts for Owens—including the return of Gillberg—Owens seemed unenthused. However, he still said that he had a gift for Jericho. When Y2J opened it, it was a new list—but it had his name on it. When he revealed the back of the clipboard, it was clear why as it was the List of KO. That’s when Owens proceeded to turn on his “best friend” and beat him into oblivion:

After taking the heinous beatdown from KO, Jericho was stretchered out of the arena and taken to a local medical facility. For all of the ways that WWE could’ve turned Owens against his friend and partner, this was near perfect. There may have been some filler involved, but it ended with a beautiful crescendo that it’s impossible not to love as a fan.
