The 2017 NFL Draft is only two months away, but it really is never too early to throw together a mock draft. Here is our latest 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

The Cleveland Browns put together one of the worst seasons in recent memory during the 2016 NFL season, earning the rights to the first overall pick in this April’s draft. Thanks to a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles before the 2016 NFL Draft, the Browns will also pick at No. 12, but that could be a pick they may decide to trade. With the draft only two months away, lets take a look at our latest 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

Myles Garrett

DE, Texas A&M

With all the hype surrounding the 2017 NFL Draft, there seems to be one constant across most of the mock drafts. Myles Garrett of Texas A&M is likely to be the first overall selection, as he is widely considered the most talented player in this draft class. He has the ability to be an absolute game changer on the defensive side of the ball at the next level, and a team like the Cleveland Browns could certainly use a few of those.

There is no telling what the Browns are going to do with this pick, as they have a ton of holes to fill in their roster. The Browns will also select at No. 12, as they traded the No. 2 pick to the Philadelphia Eagles before the 2016 NFL Draft. That pick was used on Carson Wentz, who went on to start 16 games for the Eagles as a rookie. Cleveland is still looking for their answer under center, but expect them to go defense if they keep the first pick.

Head coach Hue Jackson is a very good coach, and he will likely have the Browns much improved from their 1-15 record in 2016. The organization locked up star linebacker Jamie Collins this offseason, and with Joe Haden returning in the secondary, adding a player like Garrett would give them some good star power on defense. They have a long way to go, but this draft has enough talent to put them in the right direction.
