DeShone Kizer

QB, Notre Dame

The Cleveland Browns will pick twice in the first round, and the rumors lately have been that they will move the No. 12 pick in exchange for a quarterback. While that has not been made official, it is certainly a possibility considering how weak they are at the position. We are basing our mock draft on the current draft order, and with the No. 12 pick, we expect them to select a quarterback.

By the time the Browns select their second first round pick, it is likely guys like Mitch Trubisky and Deshaun Watson will be off the board. With that being said, Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer is another fantastic quarterback prospect, and one who may have the best physical ability of all the signal-callers in this draft. He is going to go in the first round, and the Browns have enough draft picks that they can afford taking a quarterback in round one.

Kizer probably should have staying in college one more season, but based on the strong quarterback class next year, coming out in 2017 will give him his best draft status. He has an incredibly strong arm, and while his decision making has come under fire, he should develop into a quality quarterback at the next level. The Browns have had a revolving door at the quarterback position for years, and the time has come for them to get it right at the position.
