Carmelo Anthony’s postgame attire to prepare for a blizzard overshadowed anything the New York Knicks did on the court Tuesday night.

The New York Knicks are all but out of the playoffs in a season that’s been filled with Carmelo Anthony trade rumors, injuries, Derrick Rose controversies and much, much more. At this point, they’d be better off tanking the rest of the season to earn a higher draft pick to pair with future star Kristaps Porzingis.

However, on Tuesday night, they got a nice come-from-behind victory against a playoff team in the Indiana Pacers, giving the fans at Madison Square Garden something to cheer about — even in a game that Porzingis exited with a thigh injury.

Of course, none of that really mattered in the wake of Melo’s postgame attire, as the Knicks superstar was about to have no part of the blizzard sweeping along the East coast.

And, as expected, NBA Twitter had more than its fair share of fun at Melo’s expense.

This wasn’t the first time Anthony has donned some questionable post-game attire, particularly when it comes to his fancy and exotic headwear, but this particular outfit took it to a whole new level.

The lowest hanging fruit, of course, involved references to Siberia, Star Wars and Game of Thrones:

There were a few more pop culture references as well, like Monday night’s finale of The Bachelor, Migos music videos and even an obscure throwback to Beowulf.

From there people got even more creative with the references, throwing out everyone from Macklemore to The Revenant:

Unfortunately, since Melo and the Knicks haven’t been to the playoffs since 2013, we’ve got to call this one the winner.

Like the blizzard, this one was absolutely cold-blooded.

Here’s hoping Melo was bundled up well enough to take a dig this cold.
