Germany face England at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday, March 22. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Manager Gareth Southgate and the English national team travel to Dortmund for an international friendly against the reigning World Cup champions Germany. The friendly will serve as a tune-up game for both nations, who play World Cup qualifiers on Sunday, March 26.

Southgate was officially appointed the manager of the Three Lions in November of 2016. In his four games in charge of England, Southgate has yet to lose. However, a match against Germany is going to be a challenge for an English squad that will be without Tottenham striker Harry Kane. England will depend on Jamie Vardy, Marcus Rashford and surprise inclusion Jermain Defoe. After three years away from the national team, the 34-year old Defoe has 14 goals this season for Sunderland.  One notable absence from the England roster is captain Wayne Rooney.

German manager Joachim Low has called up a rather young squad for the March international break. Six players on the German roster are 22 years old or younger. The two games should allow Low to integrate younger players such as Niklas Sule, Julian Weigl, Leroy Sane, Julian Brandt and Timo Werner into the lineup with the German regulars.

Werner is the highest scoring German in the Bundesliga this season. The 21-year old is thriving in his first season with RB Leipzig and will earn his first international cap.

After retiring following the European Championships, Low has called up Lukas Podolski for one last match with the national team. Expect Podolski to feature against England. Podolski has scored 14 goals in 20 games this season for Turkish side Galatasaray.

England defeated Germany 3-2 in the last international friendly between the two nations last year. Both teams will use the friendly as a warm up for their World Cup qualifiers on March 26. Germany travel to Azerbaijan, while England host Lithuania.
