The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Purdue Boilermakers in the 2017 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 to advance to the Elite Eight.

The Kansas Jayhawks are moving on to the Elite Eight. On Thursday night, the Jayhawks defeated the Purdue Boilermakers and punched their ticket to the next round. Up next for Josh Jackson and the Jayhawks is the Oregon Ducks.

The Ducks had themselves quite the night on Thursday, as they defeated the Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines had a chance to win the shot at the end of the game, but the ball hit the front of the rim and the Ducks were able to hold on for the win.

Jordan Bell had himself a monster day on the glass and now will have his biggest challenge yet against the Jayhawks. Josh Jackson continued to impress for Kansas in the victory and has really made a name for himself on the big stage.

In the other action on Thursday night, the Gonzaga Bulldogs held on against West Virginia. The game ended on a bizarre sequence of plays, as the Mountaineers could not get any good looks from the floor.
