Bill Murray was overcome with joy as the Xavier Musketeers pulled off the huge upset and defeated the Arizona Wildcats to advance to the Elite Eight.

Everyone has seen Bill Murray cheering on the Xavier Musketeers during the 2017 NCAA Tournament and it appears that he is indeed their good luck charm. As Luke Murray helps coach from bench, his dad is up in the crowd being a superfan and has been there every step of the way.

The Musketeers pulled off their biggest upset of the tournament yet on Thursday night, when they defeated the No. 2 Arizona Wildcats in the Sweet 16. With the win, the Musketeers are one win away from the Final Four.

After the clock ran out and Xavier secured the win, Bill Murray was overcome with joy. Seeing his son’s team win made him so excited that he rubbed the head of the guy in front of him in hilarious fashion.

After watching Murray finally see the Chicago Cubs win a World Series, it’s not hard to root for him to be happy while watching sports. He’s true to his teams and that’s something that a lot of celebrities don’t necessarily do. You won’t ever catch him on the bandwagon for another team.

The Wildcats came into the game as the favorite, but Sean Miller’s old school got the best of his team. Arizona had their chances to put the game away but Xavier would just not go away. It was a special moment for the team and for Murray, who gets to enjoy more sports success from his favorite teams.
