The Oakland Raiders have eight selections in the 2017 NFL draft. Who will they take?

The Oakland Raiders were a major success story from 2016. The team outshot their expectations and made the playoffs. However, the injury to Derek Carr hurt any chance they had in the playoffs. Still, the team played against Tom Savage in the playoff game, so it does bring questions about the depth and talent of the team around Carr. With that said, this draft will be focused on putting finishing touches on the team that is in win-now mode. Here is the Oakland Raiders seven-round mock draft.

Jarrad Davis

Linebacker, Florida

The Raiders biggest hole on their roster is the linebacker position. Bruce Irvin is a strong side linebacker but is mainly looked at as a pass rusher. In space, and off of the ball in the nickel, the Raiders are very weak at the linebacker position. They would love to see Reuben Foster or Haason Reddick fall to them in the first round, but if it does not happen, they should be all over Jarrad Davis.

Davis plays like he is shot out of a cannon. He is fast, and instinctive and likes to take his chances to blow plays up and make stops in the backfield. He is also fluid enough to move around in coverage and take on tight ends and running backs. He should be able to win the middle linebacker job in training camp and could be a starter in the middle of the Raiders defense for years to come.
