Steven Gerrard was on the pitch Saturday showing everyone that he’s still got it with this amazing goal

There’s no question that Steven Gerrard is a legend when it comes to Liverpool soccer, and on Saturday the recently retired star returned to Anfield. No, he didn’t come out of retirement, rather he participated in a Legends match for charity against the Real Madrid Legends. The final of the event saw Liverpool and Gerrard come away with the 4-3 win.

In this match, Gerrard set out to show everyone that he’s still got a lot of gas left in the tank despite retiring last November. He was awarded the Man of the Match after the festivities, as he was all over the pitch making things happen.

However, nothing that Gerrard did on Saturday would compare to the one goal that he put in the back of the net, as it was one of the most beautiful goals that we’ll see all year.

Gerrard took the pass, bounced it perfectly in the air to himself and then rifled the ball through the back of the net to give Liverpool another goal on the afternoon. Seriously, this was just amazing.

I mean, there are young, up-and-coming players in the world right now who probably can’t pull something like that off, yet here is Steven Gerrard out here in a Legends match making it look like the easiest feat to pull off on the pitch.
