We know Destiny 2 is happening and that it’s releasing this year. Now, the official Twitter account has released a new image.

If you’ve played Destiny for the last three years, then we know you’ve been anxiously awaiting some new details on the sequel. Almost nothing is known about Destiny 2, but it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer. The game has officially been announced.

On Monday, the official Destiny Twitter account posted a new image for Destiny 2. That’s about all we know so far, but this sheds light on some earlier reports. A poster leaked last week with a potential release date. Of course, this is just a rumor, but it seems pretty legitimate. Details are still minimal, but we expect some more news in the near future.

A new trailer may be dropping soon, but we don’t think we’ll be seeing much. It may be just a teaser. We believe a gameplay reveal will premiere at E3 2017. Hopefully, we get a beta so that we can try this game out before it releases.

Honestly, we weren’t huge fans of the first game. It had tons of potential and as time went on, it did deliver on multiple fronts. However, there’s no denying that at launch, it was an incomplete game. Basically, they made us pay for a game that barely had any content. Then the developers released some DLC down the line and forced us to pay even more.

The gameplay was very repetitive and playing the same missions over and over again became redundant and an absolute grind. If Destiny 2 is to succeed, it needs a ton of content, variety, and an actual story. We don’t want to be going on the website to read grimoire cards just to learn about the lore. That is highly unnecessary and very frustrating.
