Next week, a Prey demo will release that will let you play the whole first hour. This should give players a good idea of what the game is all about.

So far, this year has been great for video games. Many incredible games, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Persona 5 are now available, and they’re an absolute blast. It’s crazy, though, since we still have the rest of 2017 to look forward too. Coming in May is Prey, which is looking very promising. Thankfully, we’ll be able to test out the first hour of the game prior to its release.

Bethesda has announced that players will be able to play the opening hour of Prey next week. This is great news, especially for potential consumers who are still on the fence about buying the game. We do know that the original game released back in 2006 and we haven’t seen another one since. Now, with this reboot and Arkane Studios developing it, we’re in for a great and thrilling ride.

From the trailers, you can see that most of this game is shrouded in mystery. There are themes of horror, suspense, and darkness. It’s all culminating to create a memorable gaming experience. Check out the new trailer below, which announces the new demo:

Also, check out the official description from the YouTube video:

"Morgan Yu is about to have a very bad day. Aliens have escaped containment, dead bodies now litter the hallways of the Talos I space station, survivors are huddled together for safety, and the Typhon aliens are threatening to destroy everything you hold dear. As Morgan, you’ll have to fight the invasion in order to save humanity. But it all begins with what should have been a typical first day on the job for Morgan."

The gameplay gives us a lot of Fallout vibes, but we know it won’t be as broad when it comes to setting and exploration. We believe it’ll feel more like Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, although we aren’t sure it’ll be as scary (at least we hope not).

The demo will be available on April 27 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The full game launches on May 5, 2017.
