The first round of the 2017 NFL Draft will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET tonight, and here is our final mock draft before the festivities start.

The time has come, as the 2017 NFL Draft will kick off from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 8:00 p.m. ET tonight. For 32 NFL hopefuls, tonight will mark the beginning of an incredible journey, one that they have worked their whole life for. As with any draft, there are certain to be a number of surprises tonight, but regardless of which players hear their name called, it is going to be an exciting night.

With only hours remaining until NFL commissioner Roger Goodell takes the podium to announce the first overall pick, lets take a look at our final 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

Myles Garrett

Edge, Texas A&M

No big surprise here, as Myles Garrett from Texas A&M is the consensus first overall pick. While there has been some traction as of late that Mitchell Trubisky may be the No. 1 pick, Garrett is definitely the safe way to go. The Cleveland Browns need to start building up their defense, and with Joe Haden and Jamie Collins already in the fold, they should be able to get stops if they bring in Garrett with the top selection.

So far this offseason, the Browns have done a nice job bolstering their offensive line, and it looks like Brock Osweiler is actually going to get a chance to start at quarterback. Cleveland is coming off a one-win season, and many expect the 2017 campaign will bring a lot more losses than it does wins. However, head coach Hue Jackson needs to build this roster from the ground up, and with 11 picks in the 2017 NFL Draft, it could be the year they turn the organization in the right direction.

Garrett is an extremely gifted athlete, and possesses the kind of physical abilities that you do not see often. He followed up an incredible NFL Scouting Combine with an even better Pro Day, and will likely be a dominant force on the edge for years to come. The AFC North has some of the better quarterbacks in the AFC, and getting after the likes of Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton, and Ben Roethlisberger will be crucial if the Browns want to take a step in the right direction next season.
