The Ottawa Senators host the New York Rangers as the two teams open their second round series. Here’s how you can watch via live stream.

On Thursday, April 27, the Ottawa Senators will host the New York Rangers at the Canadian Tire Centre at 7:00 p.m. ET. This will mark the start to what should be a very competitive series. It pits a team who runs a great trap (Ottawa) against perhaps the fastest team in the NHL (the Rangers). Both teams are coming off ending their respective first round series in six games, so each team is dealing with the same amount of rest.

Ottawa will be led by their defense. Erik Karlsson is the favorite to win the Norris Trophy and one could make a strong Hart Trophy case for the captain. Despite playing the first round with two hairline fractures in his foot, he was the best player on the ice for either team. Craig Anderson has been one of the top goalies in the NHL this season despite dealing with a mid-season absence due to his wife’s health.

Meanwhile, the Rangers are led by their speedy forwards and elite goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. King Henrik had a heck of a task in round one to be better than Carey Price and he was up to the task. Mats Zuccarello leads an unheralded forward group with no true star, but lots of great role players.

This series has a bit of drama to it, as the two teams made a trade last offseason. Derick Brassard got sent to the Senators while Mika Zibanejad went to the Rangers. Both sides have benefitted from the deal.
