The UCLA Spring Showcase will take place on Saturday, April 29 and here is how you can watch all of the action online.

There of plenty of question marks surrounding the UCLA football program as they enter the 2017 season, but one thing is for sure, Josh Rosen will be back under center for a Bruins team that underachieved last season. Rosen battled injuries all season long, and without a running game, the Bruins offense sputtered. They will have to find a way to get it going on the ground if they hope to be competitive in a tough Pac-12 South this season.

While the quarterback position is set, the running back situation is up in the air, and it will be up to backs coach DeShaun Foster to figure it out. The Bruins leading rusher last season, SoSo Jamabo, had only 321 yards, as the unit was one of the worst in college football. UCLA scored only eight touchdowns on the ground in 2016, and they will need a lot more production if they want Rosen to be successful in the passing game.

The Spring Showcase will give Bruins fans a chance to see their team in action, and it will be interesting to see who emerges at most of the skill positions on both sides of the ball. The secondary was a strength in 2016, but four starters are gone, and the schedule is not friendly. UCLA will also have to replace guys like Takkarist McKinley and Eddie Vanderdoes up front on defense, which is going to be a tall order.

It is not often that UCLA has an actual game for their Spring Showcase, so Saturday should be very exciting for the fans. It remains to be seen how much Rosen will play under center, as the team’s focus will be on him being healthy for the entire 2017 season. This is likely his last season with the Bruins, and he would like none other than to go out with a Pac-12 championship.
