The Golden State Warriors are planning on bringing back “We Believe” T-shirts for Tuesday’s game, to celebrate the 2007 team.

The Warriors will be honoring the “We Believe” 2007 team before Tuesday night’s playoff game, to honor their squad that completed one of the biggest upsets in NBA playoff history.

Several members of that iconic team will be there to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of that team. Golden State’s team during the 2006-07 season finished the year as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. They faced the tall task of facing the Dallas Mavericks, who were the No. 1 seed at that time. With all the odds against them, the Warriors went on to become the first No. 8 seed to upset the top seed in a best-of-seven series in the NBA playoffs.

Some of the members who will be at the ceremony include Baron Davis, Jason Richardson, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis, Al Harrington, and many others. Another member of that team who will be there is Matt Barnes, who found his way back on this current Warriors’ team.

It is an amazing gesture by Golden State, and I’m sure the players of that iconic team are elated that they will be honored. The Warriors will play game one of the Western conference semifinals on Tuesday, May 2 on their home floor. Golden State is awaiting the conclusion of the series between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Utah Jazz, to see who their opponent will be for that series. The Warriors will almost certainly be favored to win that series, as they are the majority favorite to make their way back to the NBA Finals for a third straight season.
