Kevin Harvick tops the starting grid for the Coca-Cola 600. Here’s the starting lineup for Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte.

Kevin Harvick has a reason to be happy as he snagged the pole for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, putting him up front for the second half of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series trip through Charlotte.

The real story for this race, though, is at the complete opposite end of the grid. Current Cup Series points leader Kyle Larson is starting all the way at the back after missing qualifying. That’s a disappointment after Larson captured the pole for last weekend’s All-Star Race.

It’s also frustrating because we’ve seen so many Cup Series drivers fail to qualify this season. Just two months ago Joey Logano was among several who didn’t make it through inspection in time to qualify at Fontana. Is this a problem NASCAR needs to address?

But for the Coca-Cola 600, Larson will be at the back. All-Star Race winner Kyle Busch starts up front with Harvick and Regan Smith, filling in for Aric Almirola in the No. 42 car, will begin Charlotte from 25th.

Below is the complete starting grid for the Coca-Cola 600:

1 – Kevin Harvick
2 – Kyle Busch
3 – Chase Elliott
