Day 2 of the 2017 French Open is in the books. Here is a look at how the men’s singles tournament has shaken out as of Monday, May 29.

The second day of the 2017 French Open rolls along. On the men’s side of the bracket saw six of the top-10 seeds play their opening match in the Round of 128. Defending French Open champion in the men’s singles Novak Djokovic handled Marcel Granollers in three sets. He will face Joao Sousa in the second round.

Clay court phenom Rafael Nadal did what he does best and crushed the opposition on clay. He defeated Benoit Parie in three sets to advance to the Round of 64. There he will face Robin Haase in the second round.

All but one match was completed on the men’s side of the bracket on Monday. No. 9 Alexander Zverev Jr.’s match with Fernando Verdasco was suspended due to darkness at Roland Garros. This looks to be a match that will likely require all five sets.

Not including the unfinished results form Zverev versus Verdasco, all six top-10 seeds advance to the second round in the men’s singles. However, three ranked players were upset in round one, including No. 14 Jack Sock who fell to Jiri Vesely.
