Jeffrey Earnhardt’s #33 Chevrolet will sport the green color of one of the top streaming services around for a big chunk of the 2017 NASCAR season.

Jeffrey Earnhardt hasn’t had a tremendous amount of success so far this year, but at least he and his Circle Sport – TMG team will have one less thing to worry about this year thanks to Hulu.

The streaming service announced this morning that it will sponsor Earnhardt’s #33 Chevrolet for 19 races this season, beginning this weekend at Dover International Speedway in the AAA 400 Drive for Autism. It’s the first time Hulu has sponsored a car in NASCAR, and the timing is significant because Hulu’s new live TV service, which entered beta in May, allows subscribers to stream Sunday’s race live on FS1.

“I was a Hulu subscriber before becoming the Hulu driver, so I’m really excited to represent their brand and spread the Hulu message,” Earnhardt said in a press release. “Being able to watch live TV on your phone is incredible, especially during rain delays, and they have a giant library of movies, originals and shows that’s perfect for someone on the go.  Hulu is the future of entertainment and with their support our future is a lot brighter.  I am extremely proud to wear the Hulu green and look forward to a long term partnership and bringing NASCAR fans a service of great value with this sponsor.”

Earnhardt will be looking to improve his fortunes at Dover after finishing last in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. His best finish in the #33 in 2017 came in the season-opening Daytona 500, where he placed 26th.

Still, it’s important to remember that this is Earnhardt’s first full Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series campaign after driving limited schedules for BK Racing and Go Fas Racing the last two seasons. And since sponsorship is one of the big worries for smaller teams, the Hulu partnership can go a long way to settling the business side for Earnhardt and company and allowing him to focus on better finishes.
