ABC’s Boy Band season 1 starts Thursday with a two-hour premiere. Here’s how you can watch season 1, episode 1 live, on TV and online.

Another singing competition starts Thursday as ABC‘s Boy Band premieres, with the hopes of making a new group of pop heartthrobs — and maybe finally getting ABC on the map when it comes to music reality shows.

Season 1, episode 1 is called “Meet The Boys” and introduces the TV world to Boy Band, which should not be confused with the hilarious web series of the same name. This show is seriously trying to give us another Backstreet Boys, NSYNC or Hanson, because that’s apparently what the music world has been missing since the 1990s.

On hand for the talent show are a Backstreet Boy (Nick Carter), a Spice Girl (Emma Bunton) and the music producer from Empire (Timbaland), along with a host from The X Factor (Rita Ora). Will this eclectic mix make Boy Band season 1 a hit? You’ll have to watch the two-hour premiere and see for yourself.

Here’s how ABC officially describes the episode:

"Host Rita Ora welcomes 30 of the best young male vocalists in the country to Hollywood, where they audition before musical icons Emma Bunton, Nick Carter and Timbaland. Only 18 performers will make the cut and advance to the next round. Thus begins the mixing and matching, as the architects form three groups of six to compete in the next phase of the competition."
