The fourth season of The Originals concludes on Friday night with episode 13, “The Feast of All Sinners.” Here are the details on how to watch online.
Will Friday’s season finale of The Originals really be the end of “Always and Forever” for the Mikaelsons? All signs seem to point in that direction as Vincent’s desperate plan appears to be the only way to save Hope from The Hollow.
After over 1000 years together — give or take the years Rebekah and Elijah spent daggered — the Mikaelsons might be forced to separate to save the family’s youngest member from spending the rest of her life as The Hollow. This ending would be an interesting note to finish on if the show had been cancelled.
Instead, The Originals has been renewed for a fifth season, one that would be really boring if the shows main characters couldn’t interact. Thus, there really is no way the season finale will actually lead to a permanent end to “Always and Forever.”
Most likely, there will be a big time jump between the seasons. Season 5 will open with a much older Hope. Having mastered her magical powers, she can break the spell Vincent placed on her family and finally rid the world of The Hollow.
The Mikaelsons would then be able to return to New Orleans and face whatever new threat comes their way together. But first, the family must save young Hope from The Hollow.
