LaVar Ball may be headed to RAW and we have ideas on how WWE can use him.

Tonight, WWE RAW comes to us live from the Staples Center. Always want to add a little celebrity to the show, WWE has reportedly reached out to the man who currently runs Los Angeles. That man is the great LaVar Ball.

For wrestling fans who may not know LaVar, let me fill you in. LaVar is Paul Heyman. He’s a brash man with a penchant for selling himself and his clients. Heyman’s clients are typically his good friends. LaVar’s clients are his kids. Wearing a “I’m A Paul Heyman Guy” t-shirt is the same thing as wearing a Big Baller Brand t-shirt. LaVar, like Heyman, isn’t good at the sport that he’s attached to. But that doesn’t matter because he’s surrounded himself with people who are good at it.

A lot of people don’t like LaVar Ball, but that doesn’t matter to him. As long as you’re talking about him or his sons, he’s a happy camper. There is no such thing as go away heat in the mind of LaVar.

This is why WWE wants him for tonight’s episode of RAW. Even though his son will play at Staples Center for the Lakers, LaVar will likely receive a Roman Reigns-like reception. But with him comes eyeballs. As much as we love to hate LaVar, we also love to talk about him. He brings eyeballs. Any ESPN or FS1 video with his name in the title has triple the views of every other video on their respective YouTube channels.

With ratings dropping, WWE needs a shot in the arm. Asking them to come up with logical stories and characters worth investing in is asking a little too much. Asking them to bring in a celebrity who will give them a one-week spike is the Vince McMahon way.

Should LaVar appear on RAW tonight, he could spend three hours talking and it would give sports sites headlines for months. But, since that’s unlikely to happen, here are five other uses for LaVar on RAW.

5) Helping The Titus Brand

Admittedly, this would be a waste of LaVar’s gift of gab. Putting Titus O’Neil on the mic with LaVar will further highlight why Titus should never be given a mic. But, if WWE wants to do something worthwhile with Titus and the Titus Brand, having LaVar give him tips would be a good start.

Let’s face it, WWE has no real clue what they’re doing with the Titus Brand. Titus is nothing more than a glorified manager for Apollo Crews and Akira Tozawa. He’s not promoting them on Twitter. He’s not going on talk shows to hype them up. He doesn’t even t-shirts. How do people even support the Titus Brand?

LaVar Ball created the Big Baller Brand out of nothing. It’s not being mentioned next to Nike. Maybe the mentions aren’t always good, but when have you seen Titus Brand and Nike in the same sentence? Excluding the one you just read. Titus could learn a ton from LaVar. If Titus really wants to take his brand to the next level, he should spend the entire episode shadowing LaVar.

After spending three hours with LaVar, Titus will be a changed man next week. RAW will open with Titus decked out in Titus Wear gear and declaring that Apollo Crews will defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at SummerSlam.
