Before social media spends 3+ hours cracking jokes about the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view name on Sunday, some shenanigans went down on RAW and SmackDown Live. Roman Reigns speared Braun Strowman off a stage. The Usos talked about “that thing.” Stuff was lit … just like this week’s pre-GBOF rankings.

Look, we can all agree that Great Balls of Fire is the dumbest and greatest name for a pay-per-view in WWE history. It’s probably dumber than a man winning a women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, but I promise I’m not going to harp on that until at least next week’s rankings or something.

Let’s talk about the week that was in WWE, because it was good. No, really. I know I said that a lot about WWE and I probably shouldn’t at times, but seriously … there was two good shows this week. Samoa Joe tried to eat Brock Lesnar’s face. Roman Reigns speared Braun Strowman into the state of New Mexico. The Usos and New Day had a rap battle with Wale as the emcee. Even John Cena came back — and so did Rusev!

It was a great week.

Anytime The UceBros talking about Xavier Woods getting his own page on PornHub’s website and Handsome Rusev’s return in the same week, WWE is clearly understanding we’re completely here for savagery in their scripts each week.

We had some movement this week with the Great Balls of Jerry Lee Lewis pay-per-view just a few days in this week’s WWE Superstar Power Rankings at FanSided. No spoilers here. Well, except that Samoa Joe is going to be really high on this list. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

(Disclaimer: The wrestlers chosen for this power rankings list only appear on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live, so that means no NXT/205Live specific stars are on this list.)
